Tip 1: Keep Your Passwords Secure and Unique

To start, remember to keep your passwords secure and unique. Avoid sharing your passwords between different services, as this greatly increases the risk of your data being vulnerable. If you are using the same password in multiple places, we recommend changing it immediately to a stronger one. Don't put your safety at risk.

Tip 2: Strengthen your Security with Two-Step Authentication

Two-step authentication is an essential measure to protect your assets and accounts. What does it consist of? It is an additional layer of security that defends you against cryptocurrency fraud and theft. By enabling it, you will not only need your password to access your account, but you will also require a unique code that will be displayed only on your cell phone. This ensures that you have complete control over your transactions and the certainty that your information is completely protected.

To activate Two-Step Authentication

• Log in to your CryptoMKT account using your username and password.

• Go to the “Settings” section in the main menu.

• Click on the "Two-Step Authentication" option.

• Press the "Enable Two-Step Authentication" button.

• Now, head to your device's app store, either the Google Play Store (for Android) or the Apple App Store (for iOS).

• Search for the "Authy" or "Google Authenticator" app and proceed to install it on your device.

• Once you have installed it, open it and select the "Add Account" option.

• Scan the QR code displayed on the CryptoMKT screen using the app you downloaded. This will sync two-step authentication between your CryptoMKT account and the app.

The system will send an email to the registered email with a 7-digit code, which you must enter in the 7-digit code field.

The next step is very important to complete the activation of the 2-step authenticator, you will need to copy and save the backup codes in case you lose access to the 2FA App.

From now on you will be asked for a TOKEN provided by your Two-Factor Authentication app every time you want to log in to your account.

Remember not to uninstall or delete the app before deactivating it.

How to disable two-step authentication?

Every time you want or need to uninstall your Two-Factor application, remember that you must first desynchronize your account with it.

Log in to your CryptoMKT account using your username and password and Token.

• Navigate to the “Settings” section in the main menu.

• Click the "Disable Two-Step Authentication" button.

• It will ask you to enter the TOKEN provided by the synced app, which in this case is Authy.

• Once you have entered the TOKEN, the system will proceed to deactivate two-step authentication.

• After your account has been desynced, if you wish, you can delete the Authy application from your cell phone, as it will no longer be necessary for the Two-step authentication in CryptoMKT.

Remember that turning off two-step authentication can reduce the security of your account, so you should only do this if you're sure it's necessary. If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to ask us.

What happens if my device is stolen or lost?

Protecting your account is of utmost importance to prevent third parties from accessing your personal and financial data.

But what happens if you lose your authentication device? Don't worry! There are options to recover your data.

Some Two-Factor Authentication apps have the option to recover data, sync multiple devices, or use a security key. If you lose access to your token, please contact our support team to activate the security protocol and disable two-step authentication.
